APRIL 12, 2018 - The regular season has ended for the Utah Jazz, but what a season it turned out to be. Heading into the playoffs in the 4th seed position out of the Western Conference is quite an accomplishment. I loved following them this season and was more than a bit intrigued by the new uniform options used this season.
WHAT IS THAT? - The moment the new uniforms were used I was intrigued by the jagged lines going down the sides of the shirt and shorts. What struck me as odd was that each side was different. It immediately caught my eye and people I talked to thought I was whacked for even noticing. The Home Inspector eye made this uniform feature jump out to me. So why are these odd lines on the uniform?
MY GUESSES - I originally thought this was something like an eathquake seismograph chart. Or maybe it was a medical heartbeat graph. None of it made any sense. I couldn't have been more wrong.
MAP LINES - In an effort to display the fact that the Utah Jazz represent the entire State, they took the road lines off a map from both Salt Lake City to Moab and then Salt Lake City to St. George and put them on the sides of the uniform. Wow!... What a unique feature. I did not believe it at first, so I created this blog cover image. Pretty cool, huh?
Make it a great day!
